The Mariva bungalows provided for a wonderful stay to visit Samothraki. The hotel is in a quiet area, but was perfectly located to access Therma and the island's different sites and we were all impressed by how helpful and friendly the staff was. Free wifi in the reception was also a bonus! Aside from that Samothraki is beautiful and much less crowded/ touristy than most Greek islands. The waterfalls are wonderful to swim in and also make for great day hiking trips with varying levels of difficulty.

Hard to complain, although it was quite hot during our stay (early-mid July), so a fan/ air conditionning system in the room could have been nice.

The personnel was very helpful, the food for breakfast was very good, and the room was better than I expected.

I liked the location of the hotel. The staff was friendly but not everyone spoke Greek.

The room had no view, and we found lots of insects under the matresses, something that we mentioned to reception but she was not very understanding. Overall I don't believe the hotel offered good value for money, as the rooms were dilapidated and in serious need of painting, the traditional style of bed was not suitable for families as it had lots of pointy concrete corners.

Fantastic place. Surrounded by nature. Beautiful terrace and very peaceful. Loved everything about this place and think that it is very special. I hope that it never changes...

The hotel is inside the forest, there is a waterfall near to the hotel and It was great for us to stay 8 days there. We expect to come back because the Island is magic!!!

The breakfast

Mariva Bungalows is in an awkard position. Is far from the port (where there are the rentals scooter, from Hora and from the best beach of samotraki).

The breakfat was very very poor. The hotel is in the middle of the forest. The transportation is very difficult if you don't have a car. The hotel is far to the beach and to therma bus station.

A familar staff very friendly. Quite rooms and bigs with a beautiful balcony. Good breakfast and a hotel that made us feel at home. We recomend.
